Open Europe

For the first time in years I've been unable to attend an Open Europe event due to it being over-subscribed. The email I received is as follows:
We have had a very high response to this event, & consequently are fully booked at present. However, I will add your details to our reserve list
It's probably unwise to read too much into this, but I wonder if this is another example of not only Europe not going away but the issue gaining momentum.

  1. There's no doubt that our relationship with the EU is becoming more of a priority for many people.

While it's nice that people are motivated to attend Open Europe events, it is a shame because OE's outlook on the EU is the same as Cameron's - and both are unrealistic.

It would be preferable if such people were being informed about the alternatives to EU membership and understood how Britain could do better as an independent nation.
