  1. TBF, you know he's correct, just as I do. What I can't fathom is why many others can't see the logic. I have just come home from having a few pints with a friend and, as I always seem to do, I got into diatribe mode on politics. The response I always get is an amused, dismissive laugh, as though to say he's off again on his hobby horse. I'm not succeeding in breaking into my friends mentality, how on earth are parties such as UKIP supposed to change the nation's mind?

  2. I can think of a hundred reasons why we would be better off out of the EU and not one single reason for staying in. Moreover I've not heard one single reason for staying in from anyone else, including Europhiles such as Ken Clarke. What are we not being told?

  3. @JIC Yep I've been in that position a few times, unfortunately it takes something like prisoners' right to vote to motivate them into action. They will only change their minds when the EU directly hits them in the pocket etc and it's obvious (and then you take comfort in saying I told you so)

@patsy A good point, arguments for for staying in the EU have always been few and far between. Which says everything.
