Update: From Complete Bastard:
EU Referendum blog is down again and it's a big attack. Somebody REALLY doesn't like us. Our host can't do anything about it so we are in the process of moving to another provider (again).Update 2: www.eureferendum.com now appears to be working normally
What is clear is someone is not happy at all. This is a deliberate, and very directed attack - the UGG site appears be acting as cover...
Golly, who do you think it is?
ReplyDeleteIs that code for "Nigel Farage"?
DeleteIt wouldn't be Farage he doesn't even know how to access his own emails :-)
DeleteWhoever it is has taken the backup site down as well this morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the information, I tried all day yesterday to get on the site but each time I got a Virgin Media notice that the site was unavailable or did not exist.
ReplyDeleteAnd the bad news is that the EU Ref site is down again just as yesterday. Virgin Media appears on the screen to say that the site is unknown or not in existance. Gets worse doesn't it.
ReplyDeleteI've just posted an update above, it seems the Eureferendum URL is under sustained attack.
DeleteUpdate 2 just been posted...
ReplyDeleteThanks TBF, I get a bt screen saying "the website can not be found". This is definitely a sustained targeted attack,
ReplyDeleteIts worse than just EU ref though, usually, i hit EU ref first and then use richards "blog roll" to get to the others, complete bastard, wfw, and of course here.
ReplyDeleteLuckily i thought to google boiling frog and found my way from the wilderness
The persons who have the means and money will be connected in some way to the EU.
ReplyDeleteAs I posted yesterday as an IT engineer this level of attack is both deliberate and well resourced. It would be very unusual for an individual to mount this, this takes collusion and briary to look the other way.
ReplyDeleteI would just add. Take heart that whomever is upset they must be desperate and the message must be hitting home. They can't win this, the internet and social media have changed forever the cosy world of the establishment, a world where rewarding ability is a completely foreign concept.
