Nigel Farage faces an expenses investigation into almost £60,000 of “missing” European Union funds paid into his personal bank account.Of course Farage, expenses scandals and his reluctance to publish detailed accounts are nothing new. What's becoming clear though is that there is an element of rats leaving sinking ships within UKIP - in this case information is being provided by "former party officials". Some are wanting to distance themselves...
Newspapers have a number of serious investigations ongoing and they are beginning to close in. Interestingly Farage has this to say:
"And what we are seeing here from The Times - I mean not that I'm surprised because we have been expecting this - we are seeing yet another politically motivated attack from what is the establishment newspaper."I'm not surprised he's been expecting it...the Times is warming up for the "big one". The sharks are circling...
All of this deeply saddens me as a long time anti EU campaigner. After 20 years what a waste...
And nicely timed to lead up to the EU elections in May.
ReplyDeleteAye, the timing would inconvenient but it's not set in stone. One suspects a large part of it depends upon the conclusions of the ongoing Police investigation.
DeleteEmphasis on the word "rats" of course.
ReplyDeleteRead this?
ReplyDeleteNot as simple as the Times thought.
Hopefully this latest establishment smear will blow up in their faces.

Now the Times reply,

Cameron's Murdoch's "boy", of course.

Farage's expenses are not the point of my post, rather it's a warning of far more serious allegations / charges to come...
DeleteAnd what prey would these serious allegations be ?
DeleteOr is that the next smear the Rats have in store.
c777
Serious allegations that require the involvement of very senior Police officers. Obviously I'm not going to prejudice a police investigation by making it public. Nice try though...
DeleteThey are not Farage's expenses. The EU doesn't do expenses, it issues allowances to all MEPs.
ReplyDeleteOf course :-)
DeleteIt is several years since someone who was in touch with high levels in the Conservative party told me that they had all the dirt on Farage they needed and would use it if he ever looked like becoming a real nuisance.
ReplyDeleteVarious people whom I met at a family gathering today said "Well, they're all the same aren't they? Still, I like the way he stirs things up"
Whether they would feel the same before a general election, I'm not so sure.
Yes and no. Dirt on Farage in terms of sexual shenanigans etc I would agree with your point. What I sense is "they're all the same" only works up until Farage used taxpayer's money in order to do it.
DeleteHowever the "big one" has nothing to do with the Conservative party or being a nuisance...it is entirely of Farage and UKIP's making.
Have ALL in our Parliament always played by the rules? Have they Governed this Country according to its very own Common Law Constitution? Are they too being Governed by foreigners through the Treaties they have ratified? Wasn't there some problems re MP's Expenses at one time? Hmmm?
DeleteIn this Country "All are innocent until proven guilty"-please remember that-all of you. To get out of the EU-if that is what you REALLY want- come the General Election in 2015, use it as the REFERENDUM you have been denied since 1975 and put your Country and its freedom from foreign rule before ANY OF THE THREE MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES THAT WANT TO REMAIN IN THE EU-FOREVER. Vote only for any Political Party or Organisation that wants out of the EU. Far better than a REFERENDUM too,for the "Counts" re General Election are usually counted on that same night with all those that have put their names forward for Government-watching that count. It matters not in none you vote for have ever "GOVERNED" before- for let's face it, those we have put in to alleged "Government" have only obeyed the orders of foreigners.
